Let's talk about the perfect blend of strong espresso and creamy non-dairy milk with the perfect hint of spicy cinnamon and honey. This Honey Cinnamon Oat Milk Latte is simple to make and a just-right sip of sweet latte that's still luxuriously creamy and delicious!

Who needs a pick-me-up?! Personally, just consider my hand indefinitely raised. The answer is always yes whenever coffee is involved but especially when it's a hot mug of creamy oat milk and espresso.

Seriously....oat milk, I'm a believer. It's creamy just like regular milk! And when it's combined with sweet honey and cinnamon in a latte *chefs kiss* it's caffeinated perfection.

HOW TO MAKE AN OATMILK LATTE

Here's what we're going to need to transform your kitchen into a nearby coffee shop.

    • espresso or very strongly brewed coffee
    • oat milk
    • honey
    • cinnamon
    • milk frother or saucepan and whisk

Brew your espresso into your favorite mug. While the coffee is still hot, stir in your honey and cinnamon.

How much honey do you need?

Well, it depends on how you like your coffee! For me, I like my coffee sweet enough to notice but not cloyingly sweet. Just enough to take that natural bitter edge off....you know, like what coffee does for my personality.

For that flavor, 1 ½ tablespoons are perfect. I'd recommend starting with 1 tablespoon and going up to what tastes perfect for you!

How much is a pinch of cinnamon?

You want a little less than ⅛ of a teaspoon. The goal is to have the cinnamon spice flavor laced throughout the drink without the gritty texture of spices in your mouth.

How do you froth oat milk?

Two options, both are really easy. A win for everyone!

If you have a milk frother, that's truly pressing the 'easy button'. Just pour in ¾ of a cup of oat milk and press start.

This Nespresso milk frother (aff link!) is my favorite. It works great, gets all types of milk frothy and hot, and cleans easily.

If you don't want to invest in another kitchen gadget, a simple saucepan and whisk will work perfectly. Just heat the milk over medium to medium-low heat, whisking frequently, especially as the milk starts to steam.

Just pour that frothy milk over the honey and cinnamon swirled espresso using a spoon to hold back the foam. Laddle the foam on top and dust with a little extra cinnamon.

Make these honey cinnamon oat milk lattes for your family and friends and they'll be wondering when you started moonlighting as a barista...or if you already are a barista, wondering when you started bringing your work home with you. Either way, they'll be grateful for it!

    Ingredients

    • 2 shots espresso
    • 1 ½ tablespoons honey
    • ¾ cup oat milk
    • ⅛ teaspoon ground cinnamon

    Instructions

    • Brew and stir. Make two shots of espresso or about 2 ounces of very strong coffee. Stir the honey and a pinch of cinnamon into the hot coffee.
    • Steam the milk. Steam the milk using a milk frother or in a saucepan over medium-low heat whisking frequently.
    • Sprinkle. Dust the foam with cinnamon and enjoy.

    Notes

    • These lattes can be made with any type of milk but are particularly delicious with oat milk.
    • The amount of honey needed will vary depending on how sweet you like your lattes.  If you tend to like less sweet coffee, start with 1 tablespoon and add more to taste.
