Enter Cilantro. Like, its totally necessary for things like salsa, but girl please don’t garnish my food with a big ass leaf of cilantro. Are you with me? You make the salsa, but then end up with half a bunch leftover and what the heck are you going to do that that?
(Spoiler alert: I’m about to tell you exactly what.)

Easy Cilantro Lime Marinade
Yep. Getting a nice two-for with this recipe. Everything blends up reaaaal easy peasy, then the marinade does all the work to get your steak, chicken, tofu, what have you bursting with flavor and awesomely tender.
Personally, I’d recommend throwing it on some flank steak and whipping up these Cilantro Lime Flank Steak Tacos. The sweet pineapple juice caramelizes just a touch and tacos, well, tacos are life aren’t they?
You know what my favorite part is? This may not be the case for you, though I truly hope it is. Clean up is a breeze because that food processor and blade go right in the dang dishwasher.

Marinade Basics
Cilantro Lime Marinade follows all my favorite basics:
Fresh – Fresh Cilantro
Tang – Garlic
Sweet – Pineapple Juice
Acid – Squeeze of Lime
Fat – Bit of Olive Oil
Optional Spice – Jalapeño
A little bit of everything but still so simple. If only everything in life was like Cilantro Lime Marinade, right?

Cilantro Lime Marinade is a simple, blended marinade of fresh herbs, bright acidity, and a touch of sweetness that will tenderize and add bold flavor at the same time.
Ingredients
Scale
1/2 cup cilantro leaves
4 cloves garlic
6 tablespoons fresh squeezed lime juice (about 4 limes)
1 cup pineapple juice
1/4 cup olive oil
1 teaspoon kosher salt
optional: 1 jalapeño, seeds removed
Instructions
Add all the ingredients to a food processor
Pulse 3 to 4 times to break up the cilantro leaves.
Blend until cilantro and garlic are finely minced, about 1 minute.
Pour over protein of choice and marinate for 4 to 24 hours.
