Lavender Peach Wine Slushies

  • 1 750ml bottle dry white wine or rosé wine
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • 3 sprigs fresh lavender
  • ½ cup peach schnapps
  • 1 ½ cup good quality lemonade I like the Newman's Own or Simply brands

Blood Orange Reduction

  • 2 blood oranges juiced and strained
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar

  • In a sauce pan combine water, granulated sugar and lavender.  Bring to a boil while stirring to dissolve the sugar.  Reduce and let simmer for 5 minutes.  Remove lavender sprigs.  Allow to cool, about 10 minutes.
  • In a large, sturdy, ziplock freezer bag combine the wine, lavender syrup, peach schnapps and lemonade.  Place the bag in a tupperware container or on a flat plate to ensuring it does not open or leak.  Freeze overnight or for a minimum of 5 hours.
  • To serve, massage the bag of frozen wine slushie.  Scoop into cups or into a large punch bowl.  Optional: garnish with blood orange reduction.
