Ingredients

  • 1 bag frozen tater tots 32-ounce bag
  • ¼ cup truffle oil
  • cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 3 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F. Line a sheet tray with parchment paper. Scatter tater tots in one layer on the sheet tray.
  • Bake the tater tots plain for 20 to 25 minutes, or according to the package recommendations. They should be golden brown and crunchy on the outside when done baking.
  • Prepare the sauce while the tater tots bake by mixing together the mayo and chopped garlic. Set aside.
  • Transfer the plain tots to a bowl OR toss directly on the sheet pan. Drizzle the cooked tater tots with truffle oil, parmesan and salt. Spread back into one layer and broil on high for 3 to 5 minutes to crisp the cheese.
  • Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve immediately with garlic aioli.

Notes

  • Baking times will vary depending on the brand of tater tots and be sure to preheat the oven so the cooking times are accurate!
  • Your tater tots should be 99% cooked and ready to eat before drizzling with the oil and cheese. This will keep them from getting soggy because of the added ingredients.
  • You can either toss the baked tater tots, truffle oil, and other ingredients together in a bowl with tongs or just drizzle and sprinkle the ingredients over the baked tater tots directly on the sheet pan.
  • Use a piece of parchment paper, lightly oil the sheet tray, or use a nonstick sheet tray to keep the tots from sticking during the broiling.
  • Broil on the 2nd or 3rd position rack of your oven. You don't want to burn the parchment paper.
  • If making in the air fryer, following cooking times for the air fryer settings.
